Putney, Vt. Stoneholm Farm 9/5/09 : This fire ended up going 3-alarms. The barn was fully-involved, there was no hydrants in the area and the barn sat aprox 1/2 mile in from the main road. Companies had to setup a tanker shuttle to bring water into the scene. The barn was a total loss, aprox 600 bales of hay was in side of the barn at the time of the fire. Companies from 12 communities, NH and VT, responded to the scene and provided station coverage. (by the time I could get in close enough to the fire scene all I could see was smoke and a frame of a building) Special thanks to Keene FD for the lift into the scene.

Mendon, Ma. 51 Asylum St. 11/19/09 : Mendon Fire Dept responded to this home, located in the out of hydrant district, this afternoon for a chimney fire that extended in the attic. Companies kept fire to the attic around the area of the chimney itself.
